Bombay Borough, the all-day Indian bar and eatery in DIFC has launched a new 4-course Sunday Brunch from 1:00pm - 4:00pm featuring a feast of reimagined Indian flavours and expertly curated drinks that take diners on a culinary journey throughout different regions of India with a modern and global twist. Paired with soulful live music, the weekend offering is perfect for unwinding with good company and indulging in a celebratory mood.
The brunch features generous portions across 4 courses of delectable dishes suitable for vegetarian and non-vegetarian palettes. All guests begin their feast with the chef’s selection of an amuse and can then enjoy a smalls menu curated around home-cooked delicacies and slow-cooked treasures. This includes Bombay Borough’s own twist on traditional yoghurt with a Froyo Papati Chaat – made up of a home churned frozen yoghurt with a taramind chutney and sweet curd. Other options also include Manipuri Sinju Salad featuring a 6-hour confit chicken garnished with carrot, red cabbage chiffonade, roasted peanuts and a tamarind chili dressing, as well as a Nadan-spiced Kerala Fried Chicken Karage and truffle-infused Surati Locho Cakes amongst other dishes.
As part of their Sunday brunch, Bombay Borough’s grills menu provides a fine selection of dishes that have been re-interpreted to capture the soul of Indian cooking while incorporating unique global influence. The Harissa Paneer Roast features the restaurant’s homemade paneer stuffed with tilkut and cheese and served with tomato aioli, Sankeshwar chili. Guests can also avail the paper-baked Ratnagiri Seabass En Papillote with fried curry leaves, a Rajasthani native dish, Rajputana Murg Soola, marinated in fermented chili butter with Bhavnagari chilies and Traditional Mock Meat served with a Makhan malai sauce.
Prior to approaching the main course, the eatery ensures that all guests feel refreshed by providing a Chef’s Selection of sorbet. Diners can then opt for one hearty main dish accompanied with rice or breads and black dal. Options include Jodphuri Mutton consisting of clove-smoked lamb flavoured with Marwadi Methaniya chilies, and classic charcoal-roasted Chicken Tikka Butter Masala among others. Vegetarian options include a Winter Vegetable Yakhni Biryani featuring fried garlic, cashews, pomegranate and birista onion, the venue’s signature Malwani-spiced Bombay Lunch Home Curry served with rice noodles crisps and the unique Truffle Methi Malai served with wild mushroom seekh and seasoned with tadka edamame.
To end the brunch, Bombay Borough provides a range of celebrated sweet treats such as the Malai Jamun seasoned with a gold rabdi dust and a saffron mousse. To keep the menu vibrant and exciting, the restaurant also includes a Chef’s Selection that alternates daily as well as a French take on Indian culture through the option of Petit Fours - a serving of colourful Bon Bons.
The eastery has also included a range of alcoholic beverages to keep the atmosphere exciting that can be availed through the 3-hour free flow alcohol package. A selection of shooters are provided with the novelty of a spin-the-wheel game that can test the daring nature of the table and serve as a talking point. These include a Rose Rum Ice Cream, an Imli Tequlia, a Gin Kairi and more. The restaurant also serves a selection of Golas that include a Raspberry Tequila, a Kairi Rum and a Rasam-Passion Magic. Lastly, they also have a range of signature cocktails that include a whiskey-based Royal Mahraja a gin-based Jamun Bazar and a coconut vodka-based Goa Goa Gone.
