Flamingo Room by tashas launches new menu featuring reimagined classics and nostalgic flavours

Flamingo Room by tashas, the beloved dining destination, is excited to unveil an all-new menu on November 15, 2024, available at both its Dubai and Abu Dhabi locations.. Since its inception in late 2017, Flamingo Room has captivated guests with its romantic interiors, distinctive menu and engaging hospitality. With the Abu Dhabi location debuting in late 2023, the brand is celebrated for delivering old-school dining with a contemporary twist, featuring authentic, generous dishes crafted from the freshest ingredients.

Flamingo Room’s updated menu brings a refined touch to timeless flavours, rooted in Culinary Director Jill Okkers’ philosophy of honouring traditional, generational recipes. Her approach celebrates simplicity, allowing each ingredient to shine, as well as crafting dishes that evoke nostalgia. “Flamingo Room was the first concept I worked on with Tashas Group seven years ago,” reminisces Okkers. “Working on this menu was a ‘coming home’ moment for me, revisiting the essence that makes a dish stand out and defines the venue’s charm.”

The new menu introduces 14 dishes and 5 desserts, inspired by old-school flavours with a modern twist. Guests can look forward to reimagined classics, such as the Prawn Ritz, featuring succulent prawns served with a marie rose sauce and a rich, prawn cocktail dressing with fresh horseradish. Additionally, the Chateaubriand Au Poivre is a must-try, perfectly cooked and served with velvety, twice-baked potatoes to add warmth and richness. Dessert lovers can indulge in the show-stopping Black Forest Roulade, a luscious combination of dark chocolate sponge rolled with sweet cherry compote, perfect for sharing.

Whether guests are seeking a girls’ night out, or an intimate lunch, Flamingo Room’s newest offerings are crafted to provide a casual yet sophisticated experience. Developed in collaboration with the Head Chefs at each Flamingo Room location, the new menu was guided by the vision of CEO and Founder Natasha Sideris. “Natasha’s input always brings a bit of magic to the process,” Okkers notes. “Our approach focuses on honouring the authenticity and glamour that Flamingo Room is known for, while adding a refreshing touch of playfulness.”

Continuing to draw inspiration from Africa’s flora and fauna, Flamingo Room’s new menu reflects the restaurant’s commitment to blending authentic flavours with contemporary elegance.
