Celebrate Jun’s one year anniversary with an exclusive new menu

Jun’s, the inventive, third culture cooking restaurant in Downtown Dubai, is all set to celebrate a trailblazing one year anniversary with a specially-curated menu. The fine dining restaurant that operates without borders is cementing a remarkable year within the country’s culinary industry, raising a glass to its noteable inclusions within Dubai’s Michelin Guide, MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants, and Gault & Millau, to name a few.

Calling the city to celebrate their one year anniversary on the glistening boulevard, Jun’s has created a Onederful menu featuring six of their most-renowned dishes that are each inspired by Chef Kelvin’s ventures around the world. The special occasion menu offers epicureans a chance to try the best that Jun’s has to offer in one delightful bite.

A flavour filled start to a onederful meal, the Mushroom Pani Puri is the perfect vessel for an explosive bite filled with tang. The dish was inspired by Chef Kelvin’s love for Mumbai’s popular street food and a local vendor that lived opposite him during a time where he travelled throughout India. As all other items on the menu, the next dish, Scallops & Corn, comes from memories of the chef’s summers spent in Toronto where he enjoyed picking cream corn. The succulent corn-forward dish is paired with fresh Hokkaido Scallops, flavoured to perfection with house chili crunch, and housemade Yuzu Kosho over crispy sushi rice, perfectly wrapped in one bite.

Following on, the Rainbow Heirloom Carrots, is one of Jun’s’ most sought-after dishes, paying homage to Chef Kelvin’s mother who discovered her love for bagels topped with smoked salmon and cream cheese after immigrating to North America. Recreating the same smokey flavour in a vegetarian form, the flavoursome appetizer is comprised of charred rainbow baby carrots and is served over smoked labneh and candied walnuts, alongside house baked sourdough on the side.

After guests have tried the classics from Jun’s, a delightful bite of Hot Honey Butter with Fermented Garlic Bánh mi awaits. A personal favourite of Chef Kelvin, the Bánh mi is a Vietnamese baguette with a thin outer crust and a delightfully soft interior that is folded with house fermented garlic. The flavoursome dish is served with whipped French Hot Honey Butter, guaranteed to give guests an explosion of taste.

The perfect finish to a onederful experience, Jun’s special Baked Alaska promises a unique yet nostalgic end to the meal. The delicious desert is inspired by Chef Kelvin’s memories of visiting his father’s restaurant as a child. He would spend his days at a nearby café inside of an ice rink, where the shop owners would give him a hot chocolate and marshmellows with each visit. Recreating the memorable flavours with a quintessential Jun’s twist, the Baked Alaska is a gluten free sweet potato mochi stuffed with toasted Japanese sesame, peanuts and coconuts topped with espresso ice cream, brown butter semifreddo, covered with burnt marshmallow and a perfect shot of hot chocolate mocha.

Visit Jun’s as they celebrate a success-filled one year anniversary with dishes that put the venue on the map, guaranteed to have guests asking for more.
