Best Dubai Brunch

Above Eleven Dubai officially opens with sensational rooftop views of sea, sunset, and skyline

Cuisine, cocktails, and a whole lot of culture- you can have it all when you’re above it all.

The much-awaited Above Eleven Dubai now opens doors on the bustling Palm West Beach, bringing its Peruvian spirit and Japanese precision to offer the ultimate Nikkei experience.

Inspired by the original Bangkok concept, which was born from the desire to break away from the noise of the pulsating party street Soi 11, the newest restaurant on Palm Jumeirah steps away from the concrete jungle into lush green spaces. Guests can come on up when the sun goes down for a complete sensorial escape, where an urban jungle meets an electric atmosphere.

Design, décor, dishes, and drinks match the enraptured aura of the space, complete with an expansive terrace that offers eyeline views of the city’s shimmering skyline, iconic Arabian Gulf, and record-breaking Ain Dubai- the winning trifecta for the best panoramic views on the island. Like its aesthetics, Above Eleven Dubai is bold, bright, and buoyant, beaming with inescapable charm that suggests life’s better at the top.

Bringing in Peruvian Head Chef, Luis Gavancho, for his first culinary venture into the Middle East, the deliciously different Nikkei menu is an explosion of flavours and intricate techniques reimagined to complement Dubai’s cosmopolitan vibe, and honour Peru’s rich and diverse culinary culture. The upscale, yet unpretentious, concept brings unique dishes that are prepared using specially sourced, high-quality ingredients and feature made-to-order maki rolls, nigiri, and sashimi and an array of exceptional cebiches, such as the Above Eleven made with seabass, A11 leche tigres milk, and crispy calamari for a play on texture and taste.

It doesn’t stop there, as the extensive menu exudes Latin-American pride with Peruvian starters and tiraditos, where the hamachi truffle ponzu is touted to be a favourite. Anticuchos range from chicken, black angus, octopus, and portobello, and Peruvian traditions include arroz con pato made with boneless duck leg confit, and red snapper a lo macho. The robatayaki grill introduces a never-seen-before signature Patagonian toothfish, as well as interesting vegan-friendly options. Champion desserts include lava cake with lucuma sauce, and matcha cheesecake paired with black sesame ice cream.

With a line-up of live entertainment throughout the week, retractable roof that suggests alfresco season is all-year round, and a dedicated terrace bar pouring curated cocktails that stay true to theme, Above Eleven Dubai shows us how when the sun goes down, the volume goes up. Sip on refreshing flavours of pink yuzu, lotus root, lemon grass, and handcrafted Peruvian bitter, while enjoying front-row seats to Dubai’s breathtaking skyline.

The space welcomes up to 270 guests through a stone maze entry that leads to three main areas across the spacious venue: dining room, lounge and terrace, and sushi bar. Interiors offer a visual treat with striking colours and an interesting synergy of foliage covered ceilings, Aztec-art-stained mirrors, banana leaf trees to bring the essence of outdoors inside, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Pair that against the juxtaposition of bronze and brick to discover a harmonious blend that echoes exuberance and city-life accelerance.

Above Eleven Dubai brings an escape from the mundane with legendary sights, bites, and sounds upon each visit- all the makings of an elevated experience, both literally and figuratively.
