In celebration of Diwali, Bombay Borough -the all-day Indian bar and eatery in DIFC will launch an exclusive 8-course ‘Patakhas & Spice’ menu integrating flavours from all corners of the sub-continent. From classic Diwali Mithais (sweets), Chaats, Grills, Petit Fours and more, diners can experience a contemporary take on traditional Indian cuisine inspired by global ingredients, cooking techniques and culture along with Bombay Borough’s signature flair. The menu is priced at AED 285 per person and will be available only between 31st October – 3rd November.
Offering options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians, Bombay Borough’s Diwali menu honours the festivities by celebrating light over darkness, love over distance and togetherness over everything through generous portions and unique flavours in each course.
Guests start with an amuse and snack platter featuring Savoury Kaju Katli made from green chilis, cashews and nut crumble. They can also try a variety of Diwali snacks including crunchy Pecorino Chakli, sundried Tomato Mathri and flaky Chili Cheese Gujiya. For the second course, patrons can choose between an Italian-influenced Banaras Tamatar Bocconcini Chaat or a texture-rich Trio of Corn Salad.
Small plates include an earthy Pecan Nut and Curry Leaf Kulcha served with tomato kaara chutney and Amritsari Prawn Tempura with curry mayo among others. Furthermore, the Grills course comprises a Smoked Aubergine Shammi, Rajputana Murg Soola kebabs and more. Diners are then served a sorbet from the chef’s selection to cleanse their palette.
For the main course, guests can select one dish from a variety of options accompanied by bread or rice. Vegetarian choices include a mushroom-filled Truffle Methi Malai, Malwani-spiced Bombay Lunch Home Curry and a spinach-infused Saag Burrata among others. Non-vegetarian choices include a succulent Lamb Chop Nihari, a creamy Chicken Tikka Butter Masala, tangy Kerala Fish Curry and more. Moreover, patrons can choose between a Winter Vegetable Biryani or a Chicken Dum Biryani for the Biryani course.
Diners can end their Diwali feast on a sweet note with desserts such as Sea Salt & Cardamom Kharwas featuring a jaggery crunch, a Japanese-inspired Gajak Soufflé Cheese Cake and an assortment of Diwali Mithais in the last Petit Fours course.
