Two culinary experts collaborate for a unique five-course dinner at JW Marriott Marquis Dubai’s Tong Thai

JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai’s acclaimed Thai restaurant, Tong Thai, is hosting a special five-course dinner prepared and presented by renowned chefs, Rittiyos Hayatapan of Tong Thai and Alexander Stumpf of Dubai’s popular BB Social Dining. Taking place on Friday, the 13th of October, guests are invited to experience the vibrant flavours and exquisite settings of Tong Thai, where they can indulge in an array of Asian culinary delights with a twist, specially curated for the one-off event.

The progressive five-course menu represents their combined innovative creations, each bringing their individual culinary styles to create a unique yet harmonious menu that blends tastes and textures.

Chef Rittiyos Hayatapan, Thai Specialty Chef at Tong Thai, has dominated Dubai’s Asian culinary scene for over two decades now, with an outstanding wealth of knowledge and experience under his belt.

Joining forces with Chef Rittiyos for the tasteful evening is Executive Chef and Co-Founder of BB Social Dining in DIFC, Alexander Stumpf. Residing in the United Arab Emirates for almost two decades, Chef Alexander has expanded his skill set over the years to adapt to many different worldwide tastes and menu creations. With BB Social Dining, he has embraced this platform to truly express his passion by rebelling against expectations through creating a unique Far-Eastern menu that speaks to vegans, vegetarians, and carnivores alike.

To start, diners will be served Super Green Hummus & Chicken (chickpeas, tahini, edamame hummus, cooked chicken larb salad), followed by Massaman Gyoza (slow-cooked massaman brisket, sweet potato, spring onion) for the second course. Continuing the culinary journey, guests can enjoy Softshell Crab Bao (crispy fried softshell crab, served in a pillow soft bao, green mango slaw, wasabi sauce), followed by Prawnstar (pad Thai noodles, prawn tempura, crispy chilli mayonnaise and shiso leaves) for the fourth course. To finish the dinner, guests will be presented with Baonut, a unique fusion of bao buns and doughnuts filled with pandan custard, coconut dulce de leche, and mango ice cream.
